The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4)The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Okay, so Julie had me wondering about this one. I'm all for reading other characters perspectives here and there throughout some novels, but an entire book with no Meghan? I was skeptical. This book is all about Ash and his journey to buck the odds and stay by Meghan's side!
Ash must travel beyond the ends of the earth and complete some impossible tasks before he can gain a soul and become mortal to withstand the Iron sickness and live with Meghan in the Iron realm. Puck, Grimalkin, the Big Bad Wolf, and a surprise addition from Ash's past that may make him question his very reasons for his quest, help him along the way to find the end of the world. They travel the river of dreams and have many strange encounters with rare and scary inhabitants of the never-never, including the city of the forgotten. The forgotten are Fey that have been lost because no one remembers who they are and they are just fading away slowly. Ash and his companions may lose themselves to this very sickness if they stick around too long and never make it to their destination. At the end of the world they traverse a dangerous labyrinth full of perilous dangers and obstacles. Against all odds, will Ash make it through? Will his companions? What happens if he gets there and no longer wants to risk all to be with Meghan?
All these questions will be answered, and I'm sure some tears will be shed by the end of this novel. This was an excellent conclusion to the series!
