My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I read the reviews on the book, and I had to say that I was unimpressed and not ever going to read this book, but on a trip to the sale rack at books a million I came across a buy two and get one free pile. I ended up coming home with Wings, which I had recognized from my recommended reads. I set it to the side and pretty much forgot about it, until boredom got the better of me and I came across it while looking for something to read while I indulged in a long, relaxing bubble bath. I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely loved Wings! I thought that the fresh interpretation of faeries was intriguing and, well, absolutely magical. While the character development was admittedly a little rushed, by the end of the book, I loved each member of this fantasy. To those reviewers commenting on eating disorders, I have to say, wake up! This is a fictional, fantasy novel where the main character is a faerie! Vegan is a valid lifestyle choice and for anyone here to criticize it is just silly and shouldn't everyone be able to choose what food they put in their bodies without criticism form third parties? Anyway, I can't wait to buy the second installment of this unique and refreshing novel.
